There is more to blogging than booting up your WordPress site, typing some text and pressing publish. Just like any kind of marketing campaign you need to have a plan. You need to create a blogging strategy.

When you create a blogging strategy you give your blog some success in reaching an audience. At the bottom of the post you can grab my free blogging strategy ebook but here are some initial tips.

First, set your blogging objectives. What do you want to achieve with your blog? Is it to grow your thought leadership, drives more website traffic, increase sales etc. Know why you want to blog in first place.

Second, who are your audience? Who are the people you want to reach with your blog content and what will they expect from your blog to meet their needs?

Third, what are you going to blog about? Do you have content that you can repurpose? Are their specific market challenges that you can write and share solutions on?
