Would you like to know how to stop Instagram stories automatically sharing to Facebook? If you do then you have come to the right place as I am going to show you how to do it.

But why would you want to stop stories automatically sharing? Well there are a couple of reasons.

Firstly, if your story has a swipe up feature for example to an IGTV video the swipe up function won’t be available to you (unless you have the elusive 10K followers) when it posts to your story. So, this may create confusion with your audience.

Second, the content you are sharing on your story on Instagram may be for an audience that is different to your Facebook audience so once again may cause confusion.

To turn this feature off you do the following. When you are in your Instagram stories click the gear icon in the top left and when you scroll down you will see the option to share your story to Facebook. Select this to turn off or turn it on depending on what you what to do with a particular story you want to share.

In this video, I show you how to stop Instagram stories auto posting on facebook stories so you can fix this on your own account.
